To provide composite powder improved in the touch feeling of silica-treated zinc oxide or titanium oxide, suitably usable in cosmetics, inks, coating compositions, resin compositions, etc.
The composite powder is produced by forming a coating layer comprising barium sulfate and silica and/or silica hydrate on the surfaces of zinc oxide or titanium oxide particles.
