Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a document of a mixture of an output of print data such as a sentence or the like formed on a host computer and a print output by a copy function, by providing a composite printing apparatus with a mixture printing means mixing and printing an input image page and a plotted image page.
SOLUTION: When print data are sent to a composite printing apparatus 101 through an interface 113 from a host computer 112, an I/O 105 in the composite printing apparatus 101 informs a CPU 102 of the receipt of the data, whereby the CPU 102 temporarily stores the data in a RAM 103. Then, the CPU 102 indicates a PDL analysis part 108 to analyze input data stored in the RAM 103 and judges upon receipt of the analysis result whether the print data described by an input PDL are pages to be copied. If the data are the pages to be copied, the data are copied and an image is stored by the CPU 102 from a scanner 107 to an image buffer 109.
