To provide a composite processing machine tool capable of continuing machining as a tool life is increased without effecting work to rotate an insert.
A tool rest 20 is provided to enable equipment of a cutting tool 21 provided on a tip with an insert 22. The tool rest is situated movably in a manner to be driven in the directions of a Z-axis and an X-axis and in a manner to position a rotation angle centering around an Y-axis. In a tool file, a plurality of virtual tools 25, 26, and 27 of a tool GNL OUT for machining an outside diameter different in division angle position divided centering around a B-axis is set and registered regarding one cutting tool. By effecting machining through the selective use of the virtual tools 25, 26, and 27 stored in the tool file, a substantial rotation work of an insert is practicable on the machine side through selection of the virtual tools different in the division angle position centering around the B-axis. Machining can be continued as a tool life is increased simply without effecting work to rotate the insert after a stop of a machine by an operator each time.
