To provide a composite reverse osmosis membrane having high salt suppression performance and high permeation flow flux and further having excellent suppression performance against a non-ionic substance.
In this composite reverse osmosis membrane, a thin membrane containing an aromatic polyamide resin obtained by performing a condensation reaction of an aromatic polyfunctional amine component and a polyfunctional acid component is formed on a surface of a porous polysulfone support membrane, the composite reverse osmosis membrane satisfies all the following formulae (1) to (3). The formulae (1) to (3) are (numerical formula 1): 0.3<A/C<0.6 (1), (numerical formula 2): 0.9<A/B<1.5 (2) and (numerical formula 3): 0.013<A/BC<0.02 (3). In formulae (1) to (3), A is the maximum infrared absorption intensity in an amide II absorption band (1,660±20 cm-1) of the amide group in the aromatic polyamide resin; B is the maximum infrared absorption intensity in the absorption band (1,610±20 cm-1) of the aromatic ring in the aromatic polyamide resin; and C is the maximum infrared absorption intensity in the absorption band (1,245±20 cm-1) of the sulfone group of the porous polysulfone support membrane.
