Abstract:

To provide a hollow fiber type composite semipermeable membrane having such sufficient strength and elongation that it is not cut and not broken in a process for preparing a module from the hollow fiber type composite semipermeable membrane, and to provide a hollow fiber type composite semipermeable membrane module having stability enabling to endure treatment such as flushing and air scrambling, and being superior in the durability by making the module have the hollow fiber type composite semipermeable membrane having the such strength as a constitutional element.

The hollow fiber type composite semipermeable membrane is prepared by covering the surface of a porous support body with a polyamide type polymer thin film, and the tensile strength at break is ≥15 g and also the tensile elongation at break is ≥30%, preferably the tensile strength at break is ≥20 g and also the tensile elongation at break is ≥40%, further preferably the tensile strength at break is ≥25 g and the tensile elongation at break is ≥50%. The hollow fabric type composite semipermeable membrane is suitably used at fields of reverse osmosis- or nano-fiber, and is used as the membrane module having shapes of a parallel yarn bundle type, a U shaped bundle type and a core pipe winding type, etc.
