PURPOSE: To easily adapt a composite sheet material to a flat horizontal surface as a roofing material by making the same waterproof and relatively non- responsive to ultraviolet rays by providing two coextrusion layers consisting of a top layer wherein cured rubber particles are dispersed in a polypropylene matrix and a bottom layer of a mixture consisting of calcium carbonate and rubber particles.
CONSTITUTION: A second mixture 18 adapted to a second hopper 17 and forming the extruded top layer 22' of an intermediate sheet 22 is a mixture of a polypropylene matrix and cured ethylene/propylene/diene monomer particles in the matrix and the main mixture 16 extruded as the bottom layer 22' of the intermediate sheet 22 is a mixture of calcium carbonate and rubber particles dispersed in the polypropylene matrix. The intermediate sheet 22 is adapted to a cooling roller system 21 and subsequently adapted to a pulling roller assembly member 25. A power cutter 26 having a circular blade 28 is provided at a time of the trimming of the longitudinal terminal of the intermediate sheet 22 to trim the end part of the intermediate sheet during a period when the intermediate sheet advances to the pulling roller assembly member 25.
