PURPOSE: To obtain the highly reliable results of tests by mounting a high pressure vessel device on a movable base and providing the same movably into and out from the testing region of a device for applying tension, compressive force and torsional force.
CONSTITUTION: A frame body 2 forming the outside part of a device 1 for applying tension, compression and torsional force is built to a rectangular parallele piped by means of four side frames 2a, a stationary head 2b and a cylinder head 2c. A chuck mechanism for applying torsional force is mounted to the head 2b, and a root part 11 and a chuck part 12 are connected by means of a universal joint. The shaft 13 that supports the part 11 is supported to the head 2b by means of a thrust bearing 14. An auxiliary base 7 is attached on the outside of the head 2b and a rotating mechanism 8 provided with a means for detecting torsional torque is installed thereto and is connected to the shaft 13. The mechanism 10 grips the one end of a test pipe P set in a high pressure vessel throughout the inside thereof and applies torsional force on the pipe P when said mechanism is rotated by the mechanism 8.
