Title:
COMPOSITE TEXTILE FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05179534
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a coposite textile fabric for being able to move moisture away from the skin to outside of a garment.

CONSTITUTION: The composite fabric includes a first fabric layer comprising either a polyester or nylon material, which is rendered hydrophilic, and a second fabric layer comprising at least 25 wt.% of a moisture absorbent material such as cotton. The first fabric layer and the second fabric layer are formed concurrently by knitting a plaited yarn construction. The second fabric layer is preferable to be treated with a polyurethane to promote resistance to pilling. The first and second fabric layers form an incline acting as a driving force inside the fabric for moving water via the fabric by evaporating water from the water absorbing layer surface into surrounding air. Thus, the composite textile fabric is able to move effectively and smoothly water away from the skin to the outside of the garment.
