Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for limiting flow of an electric current, induced by an event such as lightning or an electrical fault, along a fluid transport system and allowing electrostatic dissipation along the fluid transport system.SOLUTION: A method and an apparatus are for reducing intensity of electrical discharge that occurs within a fluid transport system in aerospace transport means. In one embodiment, the apparatus comprises a transport member. The transport member is configured for use in the fluid transport system. The transport member consists of a material configured to reduce a voltage and a current, induced in response to an electric event, along the transport member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
