PURPOSE: To let starting of the shutter to be automatically accomplished when iris is regulated to a correct value by providing a photo response shutter time restoring device and a low speed fixing and high speed fixing shutter time restoring device.

CONSTITUTION: When the camera is directed to the subject and a switch is closed, a photo response timer 1 emits the signal of the time length corresponding to the intehsity of photographing light, during which time the reference pulses being outputted from a reference pulse generator 2 are counted and stored in a photo response pulse counter 3. A photo response shutter time restoring device M outputs the shutter close signal when the number of the reference pulses being applied through shutter release assumes a fixed relation with the storage value in the photo response pulse counter 3. When the photographic light is of low luminance, a low speed fixing shutter time restoring time L is operated after the correction of the iris corresponding to its inadequateness and when it is of high luminance, a high speed fixing shutter time restoring device H is operated after the correction of the iris corresponding to its inadequateness.
