Abstract:
The seal has a central toroid metal body (31) inside a metal covering layer (32), with the central body made up of a series of elements which form a spiral spring, the elements being adjacent to one another but not joined. The spiral spring elements can be made from rolled parallel comb-shaped strips with their main faces giving it a toroid shape, or from metal wires in sections of the same length, rolled into cylinders.
