Abstract:

To reduce the number of parts and to reduce cost by making a part of members related to a turning device and members related to a gear cutting device common, in a composite working machine provided individually with the turning device and the gear cutting device.

This composite working machine is provided with a headstock 10 for clamping a work, a tailstock 20 for supporting a free end part of the work at a position opposed to the headstock 10, a turning device 30 for performing turning working for the work and a gear cutting device 40 for performing a gear cutting working for the work. The turning device 30 and the gear cutting device 40 are arranged side by side with a carriage 50 provided so as to be movable in a direction parallel to an axis line direction of a spindle of the headstock 10. Longitudinal feeding of the turning device 30 and the gear cutting device 40 at the time of the turning working and the gear cutting working is performed by the common carriage 50.
