To obtain a composite yarn consisting of long and short fibers capable of providing a cloth having an improved surface quality with an ultra-soft touch feeling and pilling resistance by arranging a short fiber as a dividable type composite fiber capable of subdividing by its division at an outside layer, and a highly shrinkable filament yarn at an inside layer and performing a shrinking and fiber dividing treatment after preparing a cloth with the yarn.
This composite yarn consisting of long and short fibers is obtained by arranging a dividable type composite polyester short fiber having ≤0.3d, preferably ≤0.25 d monofilament fineness after dividing, as a winding state at an outside layer part and a filament yarn having 20-40% shrinkage by a hot water to an inside layer part so as to flow out the divided monofilament to the surface of the cloth on shrinking the filament yarn in the inside layer part.
