To obtain the subject composition having an excellent antibacterial action on Helicobacter pylori, high preventive effect on the infection with Helicobacter pylori by containing a specific material, a free fatty acid, etc., as active ingredients.
This composition having antibacterial action on Helicobacter pylori is obtained by containing (A) a material having antibacterial action on Helicobacter pylori (preferably, fat extract of glycyrrhiza), (B) one or more kinds of compounds selected from free fatty acids (preferably, a long chain free fatty acid), their salts and esters as the active ingredients. The composition is usable as pharmaceuticals of foods, useful for prevention and therapy of gastritis, stomach ulcer.duodenal ulcer caused by Helicobacter pylori. Preferable dose of this composition is about 0.01-500mg/kg.
