PURPOSE: To obtain a composition for aq. muskant excellent in strength and dimensional precision and good in coating suitability, etc., by incorporating a conjugated diene compd.-vinyl compd. copolymer latex and a latex of specified performance into the composition in a specified ratio.
CONSTITUTION: This composition for an aq. muskant contains 5-95wt.% of a copolymer latex obtained by emulsion-polymerizing 30-70% of an aliphatic conjugated diene compd., 20-70% of aromatic vinyl compd., 0-10% of ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid and 0-50% of other copolymerizable monomers, 95-5% of a (co)polymer latex having -50 to 50°C glass transition temp. measured by differential scanning calorimetry, a filler and a thickener. The composition is excellent in film strength, resistance to chemical and heat, muskant dimensional precision, etc., and good in coating suitability and removability, and further the composition does not cause any trouble on environmental sanitation such as air pollution.
