The composition for blood sugar reduction and/or anti-obesity, containing the material originated from the bark of Acacia reduces the expression of fat synthesis-associated gene (SREBP-1c), increases the expression of fat degradation-associated gene (PPAR), reduces the expression of adiposity-associated gene (PPAR), and ameliorates the insulin resistance.
