PURPOSE: To provide the subject one-pack cold-setting composition containing a specific alkyd resin having low molecular weight and an alkoxy(meth) acrylamide-type vinyl copolymer and having high solid content and excellent dryability, durability, appearance, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition contains (A) 40-95wt.% of an alkyd resin having an oil length of 20-70% and a weight-average molecular weight of 3,000-100,000 and derived from a fatty acid having an iodine value of ≥100 and (B) 5-60wt.% of a vinyl copolymer having a weight-average molecular weight of 5,000-40,000 and produced by the polymerization of (i) 3-30wt.% of an N-alkoxy(meth)acrylamide of formula (R1 is H or CH3; R2 is H or 1-4C alkyl) and (ii) 70-97wt.% of other vinyl monomer copolymerizable with the component (i).
