To provide a personal cleansing composition with an improved conditioning effect, wherein attachment of a conditioner is improved.

The personal cleansing composition contains 4-50 wt% surfactant chosen from the group consisting of anionic, cationic, nonionic, amphoteric, and bipolar surfactants and mixtures thereof, 0.01-10 wt% conditioner, 0.025-5 wt% organic, non-crosslinked cationic homopolymer having a cationic charge density of 2-10 meq/gm and an average molecular weight of 1,000-5,000,000, e.g. poly(methacrylamide propyltrimethyl ammonium chloride) etc., 0.1-10 wt% phase separation initiator chosen from the group consisting of an electrolyte, an amphiphile and mixtures thereof and 50-95 wt% water.
