Abstract:
To provide a novel resin composition usable for formation of a liquid crystal alignment layer having good characteristics; and to provide a liquid crystal alignment layer, a liquid crystal display element, and a novel compound according to the same.
The composition contains a polymer having amino groups and side chains in the molecule, and a solvent. The composition has good characteristics and a possibility of being used in various applications. Among maleimide-based polymers, a specific one is a novel maleimide-based polymer, and has a possibility of being developed to new applications.
