Abstract:
To provide a composition having excellent solubility in an alkali water and comprising a polymer which has a constitutional unit derived from (meth)acrylic acid tertiary alkyl ester and an acid group.SOLUTION: A composition comprises a polymer having a constitutional unit derived from (meth)acrylic acid tertiary alkyl ester and an acid group, which are reaction products of a graft polymer (A) having the constitutional unit derived from (meth)acrylic acid tertiary alkyl ester and an acid (D). From the constitutional unit derived from (meth)acrylic acid tertiary alkyl ester, the acid group is produced by a reaction of the graft polymer (A) and the acid (D). The composition is especially useful when the constitutional unit derived from (meth)acrylic acid tertiary alkyl ester is a constitutional unit derived from tert-butyl (meth)acrylate.SELECTED DRAWING: None
