Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition which can give a cured product excellent in bending properties, transparency and bondability and suitable as a material for resin moldings or a dental material requiring mechanical strengths (durabil ity) and transparency by homogeneously mixing a polymer with a urethane (meth)acrylate neither soluble nor swellable in the polymer.
SOLUTION: The mixing ratio is such that 5.2-47g of the polymer is present in 1mol of the urethane (meth)acrylate, The polymer should have an average molecular weight of 100,000-1,000,000 and comprises, for example, at least one thermoplastic resin. The urethane (meth)acrylate has at least one (meth)acryloyl group and a urethane group. This composition can be obtained by reacting an isocyanate compound in a homogeneous solution of the polymer and a hydroxy (meth)acrylate compound or by reacting them in reversed order i.e., by reacting the hydroxy (meth)acrylate compound in a homogenous solution of the polymer and the isocyanate compound.
