To provide a double-layered lubricating membrane excellent in close adhesion to a base material such as a piston made of an aluminum alloy, having a low frictional coefficient, excellent in abrasion resistance, initial affinity and scorching resistance, and a composition for the double-layered lubricating membrane used for forming the same membrane.
This composition for the double-layered lubricating membrane consists of an upper layer membrane composition and a lower layer membrane composition. The upper layer membrane composition consists of 50 to 70 wt.% of an epoxy resin or polyamideimide resin, 5 to 20 wt.% of boron nitride and 15 to 30 wt.% of silicon nitride or alumina. The lower layer membrane composition consists of 50-70 wt.% of an epoxy resin or a polyamideimide resin, 15 to 30 wt.% of polytetrafluoroethylene and 5 to 20 wt.% of molybdenum disulfide, and may contain graphite as necessary.
