Title:
POLYMETHYLPENTENE/POLYPROPYLENE COMPOSITION EXCELLENT IN RELEASABILITY AND PRODUCTION OF FILM THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3106139
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive release film compd. showing low initial peel strength, high tensile strength and high elongation at break suitable for forming a release film or a release liner and holding release properties even after the elapse of time.
CONSTITUTION: A compsn. having large elongation and improved release properties is constituted by including about 90-10 wt.% polymethylpentene with a mol.wt. of about 200,000-700,000 and melt flow rate of about 20-200 g/10 min and about 10-90 wt.% polypropylene with a mol.wt. of about 150,000-350,000 and a melt flow rate of about 1-10 g/10 min. Pref., the elongation of the compsn. is larger than about 250% and the release load thereof is smaller than about 0.60 lb/in and polypropylene has an atactic fraction smaller than about 2%. By extruding this compsn., a film can be formed.
