To provide a preparation for external use which includes ceramides, excels in dispersion stability, and has high moisturizing benefit and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.
The composition for external application comprises: a ceramides containing particle having a particle size of at most 0.2 m formed by mixing a first phase which dissolves ceramides or a combination of two or more sorts of ceramides preferably in a good solvent of ceramides, for example a water-soluble organic solvent like ethanol and a second phase which is an aqueous phase; and sphingosines. Further, the composition for external application comprises polyhydric alcohol and is obtained by forming the ceramides containing particle under the existence of the polyhydric alcohol.
