PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition in which the constituent polyorganosiloxane is made proof against deterioration and which is excellent in durability, etc., by mixing a polyorganosiloxane having a specified viscosity with a specified dithiocarbamate in a specified ratio.
CONSTITUTION: This composition is prepared by mixing a polyorganosiloxane having a viscosity of 50-500000mm2/s at 25°C with 0.1-5wt.% at least either of compounds of formulas I and II (wherein R1, R2, R4 and R5 are each H or a 1-20C monovalent hydrocarbon group; and R3 is a 1-5C bivalent hydrocarbon group). An example of the compound of formula I is methylene bisdibutyl dithiocarbamate of formula III, and an example of the compound of formula II is dithiocarbamate of formula IV. The composition undergoes a small torque change and a small viscosity change and has improved humping characteristics.
