PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compsn. having long spot life and small coloration by incorporating an imidazole compd. expressed by the specified formula together with an epoxy emulsion and dicyandiamide.
CONSTITUTION: Each about 0.1W20.0pts.wt. (expressed by solid content ratio) dicyandiamide agent and an imidazole compd. expressed by the formula (wherein R1, R2, R3, and R4 are H, alkyl, aryl, acyl, cyanoalkyl, or derivs. thereof.) is added to 100pts.wt. epoxy emulsion (or solubilized product thereof in water) to obtain the compsn. Suitable epoxy emulsion is of bisphenol A type epoxy resin, etc. The dicyandiamide is expressed by a structural formula: HN=C(NH2) NHCN, and the imidazole compds. are 2-methyl imidazole, etc. The amt. of the compsn. to be adhered to glass fiber is ca. 0.03W10.0wt%. If necessary, a film forming agent, a coupling agent, softening agent, etc. may be added.
