Abstract:

To obtain a compound and a composition for treating capable of preventing diseases associated with oxidative damage and to provide a method for using the same.

This composition is used for treating or preventing dysfunctions or conditions arising from the oxidative damage and comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and an active ingredient for administration to a patient. The active ingredient is a compound including compounds selected from the group consisting of hydroxy PBNs, PBN esters, acetoxy PBNs, alkyl PBNs, alkoxy PBNs and phenyl PBNs.
