Abstract:
To provide a composition derived from Aspalathus linearis suitable for consumer's preference and capable of enhancing antioxidant action by reducing bitterness while maintaining a flavor component.SOLUTION: There is provided a composition derived from Aspalathus linearis, containing (A) component: a polyphenol compound, containing (a1) component: phenylpyruvic acid-2-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, and (a2) component: at least one of quercetin and glucoside thereof, and having content of the (a1) component of 0.05 mass% or more, content of the (a2) component of 0.5 mass% or less and content of the (A) component of 0.5 to 25 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
