Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a composition for measuring urea nitrogen excellent in determining properties, accuracy, stability and high linearity of values.
CONSTITUTION: This composition for measuring urea nitrogen comprises (a) urease, (b) α-ketoglutaric acid, (c) NADH or NADPH, (d) glumatate dehydrogenase and (e) a glutamate dehydrogenase inhibitor. Thereby, the urea nitrogen can accurately and simply be determined in a short time even in a solution containing the urea nitrogen at a high concentration and the shelf life of the reagent for measuring the urea nitrogen can be improved.
