PURPOSE: To enable braids to be used in wider, diversified applications by composing fiber bundles fed into braids with kinds of such fiber bundles varied depending on the directions of section, length or their combinations.
CONSTITUTION: In composing braids using a braider for circular braids with each bobbin carrier group circulating along annular-exclusive orbits A, B and the other exclusive orbits C to F as a unit, the bobbin carriers for the orbits A, B are fitted with e.g. electrically conductive fiber bundle-wound bobbins, while the bobbins for the other orbits C to F with electrically nonconductive fiber bundle-wound bobbins, thus obtaining braids with different kinds of fiber bundles distributed in the section direction. Or, the former group of bobbins and the latter group of bobbins are transformed at an intermediate stage to compose another kind of braids with kinds of fiber bundles varied in the long direction. Or, by combination of the above-mentioned methods, braids with various functions or attributes corresponding to applications can be obtained.
