PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing one product from one or more enzymatic pathways.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided a method comprising both enzymatic and chemical conversions as steps. According to the present invention, there are also provided various pathways for converting glucose into 5-dehydro-4-deoxyglucarate (DDG), and for converting glucose into 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA).
