To provide nerve growth factor (NGF) variants with improved in vivo stability, to provide methods for producing and purifying NGF variants, and to provide therapeutic applications.SOLUTION: Provided is a polypeptide comprising: i) a first portion comprising a full-length nerve growth factor (NGF) polypeptide sequence, or a biologically active fragment thereof; and ii) a second portion comprising an additional polypeptide that increases the half-life of the NGF polypeptide sequence, or biologically active fragment thereof, in a bloodstream of a human.SELECTED DRAWING: None
