Abstract:
To provide compositions and methods for the diagnosis and treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
The present invention is based on the identification of proteins (including agonist and antagonist antibodies) which are obtained as a result of stimulation of the immune response in mammals, resulting in acquisition of autoimmunity. The resulted PRO polypeptides, agonists and antagonists thereof are also useful to prepare medicines and medicaments for the treatment of SLE.
