Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a tannin-containing polymer which facilitates waste-water treating by reducing the water content in the produced sludge and furthermore, gives waste water unharmful to the health and environment by drastically reducing the residual turbidity and residual color.
CONSTITUTION: The titled composition is a water-soluble or a water-dispersible tannin-containing polymer composition of the formula: tannin-[N-C-A] (wherein N is a nonionic monomer, C is a cationic monomer and A is an anionic monomer, and the molar content of N is from 0 to 60% the molar content of C is from 30 to 100% and the molar content of A is from 0 to 30%, provided that the total molar content of the polymer is 100%).
