Abstract:
To provide a fatty acid composition that makes it possible to efficiently take DHA in animal bodies.
The composition contains a flaxseed oil and is adjusted so that the abundance ratio of a linolic fatty acid (n-6, 18:2) to an α-linoleic fatty acid (n-3, 18:3) may be 0.05 to 7.5 in animal bodies. The amount of DHA in an animal brain is increased by continuous intake, improves memorial power and memory storage capacity in the animal. The composition also contains a repeseed oil or a perilla oil.
