PURPOSE: To efficiently obtain the molding which has high workability and the high holding power of nails and wood-screws and prevents the worked surface from powdering by compounding a calcium silicate hydrate, polymer and ettringite product as essential components.

CONSTITUTION: This compsn. for molding is produced by compounding 100 pts.wt. calcium silicate hydrate in solid content, 3 to 50 pts.wt. polymer in terms of solid content and 0.5 to 25 pts.wt. ettringite product as the essential components. Inorg. or org. fibers may be further added to the above-mentioned compsn. in order to reinforce the molding. The amt. of the fibers to be used is preferably 0.5 to 20 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. solid content of the calcium silicate hydrate. The above-mentioned compsn. is kneaded with water to prepare a slurry and the molding is formed by using this slurry, then the molding is dried, by which the molding is obtd.
