PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zirconia nanocrystal dispersion object excellent in dispersion property, in which, a nano composite formed of nanocrystals dispersed in a matrix containing a polymer, ceramic, and glass, can exhibit excellent properties in structural connection property, mechanical intensity, stability, flexibility, optical permeability, and thermal stability, and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a method comprising: creating a solution by mixing or dissolving a precursor of a zirconia nanocrystal in one or more kinds of solvents; according to a situation, heating the solution or increasing pressure; and making the precursor and the solvents react, for forming a nanocrystal. The obtained dispersion object is a dispersion object in the solvents of the zirconia nanocrystal which is partially capped by one or more kinds of capping agents, when containing 10 wt.% of nanocrystal, 10 mm optical path length transmissivity in a wavelength range of 400-700 nm is 15% or more, and floating capping agent density is 100,000 μg/ml or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
