To obtain a composition for oral cavity which gives fine flavor, possesses excellent foaming ability, shows low irritation and is few in the change of the taste after using by blending a specific fatty acid amide ether sulfate compound

The objective composition is obtained by blending a fatty acid amide ether sulfate compound of the formula [R1CO is an 8-22 C aliphatic acyl; R2 is H or a 1-3 C alkyl; R3 is a 2-6 C alkylene; A is a 2-4 C alkylene; (n) is 0-20; M is H or a salt-forming cation ]. The compound of the formula is blended preferably in an amount of 0.1-5 wt.% in the whole composition. When this composition is used as a dentifrice, e.g. toothpaste or the like, an abrasive (e.g. crystalline silica or the like), a caking additive (e.g. carboxymethyl cellulose or the like) and a viscosity-increasing agent (e.g. sorbitol or the like) can be blended in proportions of 3-99 wt.%, 0.5-10 wt.% and 1-50 wt.%, respectively. Further, a surfactant (e.g. lauryl sulfate ester salt or the like) can be added.
