To provide a coating composition for zinc plating capable of imparting lubricant performance to a zinc-plating film while maintaining the rustproofing or corrosionproofing performance inherent in the film through maintaining it.
This composition comprises an epoxy resin meeting at least one of the requirements: (a) <1,000 in number-average molecular weight, (b) liquid or semi-solid at 22-27°C and (c) ≤K in the viscosity at 25°C in the form of a 40 wt.% resin solid butyl carbitol solution determined by Gardner-Holdtz method, a curing agent and a solid lubricant; wherein it is preferable that the curing agent is an amine-based one selected from the group consisting of an aliphatic amine, alicyclic amine, cyclic amine, aromatic amine, polyaminoamide, epoxy compound-added polyamide, Michael-added polyamine, Mannich-added polyamine and tertiary amine compound.
