PURPOSE: To permit respective works of imposing and block dividing during processing computer photocomposition to improve the working efficiency of block copy production and prevent the generation of mistake in the works by a method wherein conversion for imposing based on the imposing information on the position and direction of copy data is effected after processing composition while block dividing with respect to a file, whose conversion of imposing is finished, is processed based on color information.
CONSTITUTION: The composing process of an input data is effected by a computer 20 and processed data are accumulated in the computer 20 as printing data, then, are inputted into an electronic composition machine 40 for ordinary paper output through a storage medium 30 for printing. Output data from the photocomposition machine 40 or data, printed on the ordinary paper of an output medium 50, are corrected to check faulty input. After finishing the correction respective processing of imposing and subsequent block dividing of composed data are effected by the computer 20. Respective processed data are inputted into a composing machine 40 for film output through the storage medium 30. The photocomposition machine 40 produces a film for black-and-white printing and a film for color printing respectively whereby respective films can be utilized as block copies.
