To provide a composition for releasing stress or improving sleep disorder which contains a large amount of natural GABA, and is manufactured by fermenting a mixture of any one substance selected from a group consisting of oyster hydrolysate, oyster extract and a combination thereof and kelp extract, and a manufacturing method of the composition.

There is provided a composition for releasing stress or for improving sleep disorder which contains a fermented substance obtained by fermenting extract mixture of oyster and kelp as an active ingredient. The fermented substance is manufactured by fermenting extract mixture of oyster and kelp while using fermentation microorganism strains which do not affect a functional substance such as taurine, and transforming glutamic acid that exists in oyster and kelp into GABA.
