PURPOSE: To obtain a composition for self-adhesive films, excellent in solvent solubility and transparency, by using, as a principal component, a polymer obtained by graft-copolymerizing vinyl chloride and a vinyl ester at a specified ratio in the presence of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer.
CONSTITUTION: A composition having, as a principal component, a graft copolymer prepared by graft-copolymerizing vinyl chloride and a vinyl ester in the presence of an ethylene/vinyl acetate (30W60wt%/70W40wt%) copolymer having an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer content of 50W90wt%, a vinyl chloride content of 4W45wt%, a vinyl ester content of 2W45wt% and a degree of polymerization of the graft components of 200W800. Said composition is formed into a self-adhesive film by calendaring or solution coating. By applying the obtained self-adhesive film to a peelable film such as paper or synthetic resin film, a self-adhesive material having self-adhesiveness can be obtained.
