Abstract:

To provide a composition capable of obtaining a sufficiently densified silica-containing glass even by low temperature heat treatment, and to provide the silica-containing glass formed by using the composition.

This composition contains a compound having an Si-O bond and a metal hydroxide. The silica-containing glass is obtained by hardening the above composition.
