Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composition for a sliding member which has lower friction coefficient, superior wear resistance and better seizure resistance as compared with the existing composition for sliding members which consists of base resin and solid lubricant dispersed in the resin.
SOLUTION: This composition for a sliding member contains polyamideimide(PAI) resin and microcapsules dispersed in the polyamideimide resin which consist of film made of resin and lubricant made of oil or grease contained in the film. In other words, this composition for a sliding member makes use of PAI resin as base material and microcapsules containing liquid lubricant, i.e., oil or grease, are dispersed in the PAI.
