To obtain the subject composition, capable of improving pharmacodynamic effects to be imparted to cosmetics, medicines, etc., and suitable for external use by blending a specific amount of a specified ingredient therein.

This composition suitable for external comprises an apple extract (ingredient A) and one or more pharmacodynamically effective agents (ingredient B) selected from 0.01-5wt.% tyrosinase activity inhibitor (e.g. cysteine), 0.001-3wt.% active oxygen scavenger [e.g. superoxide dismutase (SOD)], 0.001-3wt.% antioxidant (e.g. vitamin As), 0.01-3wt.% cell activator (e.g. deoxyribonulceic acid), 0.01-3wt.% antiinflammatory agent (e.g. glycyrrihizic acid) and 0.01-3wt.% humectant (e.g. hyaluronic acid). The content of the ingredient A in the composition is preferably 0.00001-1wt.% expressed terms of a dried solid substance and preferably 0.01-10wt.% expressed in terms of an extracted essence.
