To perform composition processing that is efficient and accurate by reflecting the electronic location of an image area that is decided by either a composition terminal or an image terminal to the other.
In a composition system, when an image terminal 2 sets an image area of printed matter paper on a display screen, an acquiring means 10 of a composition terminal 1 acquires the set image area. Next, a specifying means 11 specifies a character area that is associated with the acquired image area according to character location information and a clearly expressing means 12 clearly expresses an area frame that shows the size of the specified character area on the display screen. And a deciding means 14 makes a sentence obtained by an obtaining means 13 a processing object, makes the inside of the displayed area frame a character unallocable area and decides a location position of the sentence. Thus, the image area that is set by the terminal 2 which becomes a leading side is notified to the terminal 1 and the location position of the sentence which is allocated to the printed matter paper is decided.
