To obtain a transparent water gelatinous perfuming agent and a composition as the material thereof which achieve a higher transparency generating no ammonia with the passage of time and are free from turbidity even when the residue thereof reduces by the volatilization thereof.

The composition contains an aqueous solution containing a reaction product between a methyl vinyl ether-maleic anhydride copolymer and ammonia, polyamine compounds crosslinkable with the reaction product and a scent. The composition undergoes a reaction for the gelatinization thereof to obtain the transparent water gelatinous perfuming agent.
