Abstract:
To obtain the subject composition high in totally demulcent effects on rhinitis symptoms such as sneeze, capable of alleviating adverse effects such as sleepiness, etc., by formulating an antiphlogistic enzyme agent with an antiinflammatory agent.
This composition comprises (A) a phenothiazine-based antihistamine agent (preferably mequitazine or promethazine methylenedisalicylate, (B) an antiphlogistic enzyme agent (preferably lysozyme, bromelain or their salt) and (C) an antiinflammatory agent. Preferably, the composition is formulated with (D) a central stimulant in a daily amount of 12-300mg and, for example, a daily dose of mequitazine is 0.3 6 mg and that of lysozyme is 3.6-90mg (titer).
