Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a treatment composition for wiping paper which is composed of a specific diorganosiloxane and a polyhydric alcohol and can be used most suitably for giving tissue paper or the like flexibility, slipperiness and soft touch.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A dimethylpolysiloxane containing an amino, epoxy, carboxyl or oxyyalkylene group and (B) a polyhydric alcohol such as propylene glycol are mixed using a solvent mix of toluene and isopropyl alcohol to prepare a composition solution for treating wiping paper such as tissue paper. The wiping paper such as tissue or toilet paper is impregnated with the treatment solution, squeezed and dried. The composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of component A and 10 to 5,000 preferably 100 to 1,000 pts.wt. of component B.
