To obtain a rubber composition for the preparation of a vibration insulating rubber having a low dynamic-to-static modulus ratio (soundproofing properties) while maintaining dynamic characteristics (vibration-proofing properties) and durability.
This vibration insulating rubber composition comprises (1) a rubber component comprising (a) an aromatic vinyl monomer-butadiene copolymer rubber having an average bound aromatic vinyl monomer content (such as styrene or the like) of 10-40 wt.% and a 1,2-linkage content in the whole butadiene units of 50 wt.% or more, the bound aromatic vinyl monomer content increasing or decreasing along the polymer chain from one end to the other, and (b) a diene rubber component other than the component (a) such as natural rubber or the like and (2) carbon black having a dibutyl phthalate absorption number of 130 ml/100 g or more and an iodine adsorption number of 35 mg/g or less.
